PS3 will not reach Europe until March

GI.biz notes that the PS3 will not reach Europe until March 2007.  Europe gets screwed by Sony, again.  This means Australia and New Zealand will also not be getting the new kit until Q1 2007 either.  Sony yet again proved to be smoking crack when it previously announced it would be shipping 4 million units by the end of 2006.  Personally I think they’ll struggle to get 2 million shipped, if that.  Don’t expect to find a PS3 in store in quantity for a good six months after ship.  It was like that for the XBOX 360, it’ll be like that for the PS3.  That is unless consumers balk seriously at the massive price tag.  Now that would be a funny sight.  An oversupply of dusty PS3 boxes sitting untouched on retailers shelves.  Not going to happen though.  Too many Sony fanboys out there.
This of course just gives Microsoft and Nintendo more of a chance to stretch out a lead over Sony and get more new hardware into consumers’ hands.
