I saw V for Vendetta tonight. A good film. A little over dramatic and somewhat implausible but then it is a comic book movie. However, it is a Vertigo graphic novel that the film dramatises and Vertigo is DC’s “mature” label so the ideas presented in the film are anything but childish. The somewhat naive presentation of fascism, terrorism, racism, intollerance and state control aside the central idea of one getting the government one deserves is highly relevant today. Well worth seeing.
